Is there really a perfect workout?
Fitness, and overall health and wellness is something that we all think about. Some of us even act on it. Now that is something to be applauded. Sure, we all want to look good, but more importantly I think, we all want to feel good. That is really what fitness is all about.
Everyone knows that there is no magic bullet, yet we constantly have our ears perked to hear the latest fitness craze, the best exercise, the one that will work.
Who do we listen to? How many times to we have to hear this is the best arm workout, ab workout, weightloss workout, etc. Only to be told a few weeks later that there is a new best arm workout, ab workout, weightloss workout... well you get what I'm saying.
The simple fact is... it's really just a matter of calories in vs. calories out. I can remember how many times I sat at an open house with a platter of muffins thinking... 'if I eat this, I need to climb those stairs to the saecond floor at least five times...' really.
It's also not just about cardio... repeating the same excercise over and over will get you results initially but soon you will plateau and you just won;t see the results you had joped for.
So what does that mean?
Interval training is your key to your success. Add variation to your routine and you will get the results you seek in no time.
You also need to incorporate some form of resistance training... your muscles need to feel useful so make those dumbbells and barbells your friends.
